DISEÑO DE MOBILIARIO INFANTIL A PARTIR DE UN MODELO DE PRODUCCIÓN CIRCULAR

Resumen

El siguiente proyecto consiste en la realización de un mobiliario infantil empleando un modelo de producción circular; en donde todo su proceso de fabricación, desde la obtención de la materia prima hasta el desecho del mismo, genere el menor impacto ambiental posible. Se realizó una extensa investigación documental acerca de los procesos que tiene que atravesar un mobiliario para ser considerado como sustentable. La investigación, de corte cualitativo, fue dividida en tres variables principales: Economía Circular, Mobiliario y Usuario. Primero, se inició con la investigación del concepto de Economía Circular. Partiendo de estos conceptos, se establecieron las características a tomar en cuenta para la realización de un mobiliario con enfoque infantil, tomando en cuenta las premisas de diseño, materiales, elaboración, distribución y ciclo de vida, lo que dio como resultado un producto versátil y adaptable a distintas edades del usuario. Actualmente, la mayoría de las propuestas de mobiliario no están pensadas desde la sustentabilidad. Por lo tanto, es necesario que, como diseñadores, se dé un primer paso, incorporando criterios de sustentabilidad a los proyectos realizados con el fin de que incentiven la conciencia ecológica y social del público, mientras satisfacemos al mismo tiempo sus necesidades.

Abstract
This project consists of making children's furniture by using a circular production model, where the entire ma- nufacturing process, from obtaining the raw material to its disposal, generates the least possible environmental impact. An extensive investigation was carried out about the processes that furniture has to go through to be considered sustainable. The research was divided into three
important variables: Circular Economy, Furniture and User. It first started with the investigation of the concept of Circular Economy. Starting from these concepts, the characteristics to be taken into account to the making of furniture for children were established from the design premises, materials, fabrications, distribution and life cycle, which resulted in a product that's versatile and adaptable to possible various ages of the user. Most of the current furniture proposals are not thought from sustainability. Therefore it is necessary that a first step is taken as designers, incorporating sustainability criteria to the projects carried out in order to encourage ecological and social awareness to the public while meeting the needs.
