Durante la época precolombina esta técnica ancestral&nbsp;fue mucho más que un ornamento y constituyó una trascendental práctica cultural, con significativa&nbsp; expresión artística y representación simbólica, arraigada en la cosmovisión de su pueblo, tanto que&nbsp;durante la etapa de colonización española se utilizó como una forma de rebeldía ante la corona. Por&nbsp;eso, la práctica del bordado, que se extendió durante diferentes&nbsp; periodos, aportó a la construcción de&nbsp;la identidad local.<br><br>Palabras clave:​ ancestral, cultura, cosmovisión, tradición, vestimenta.</p><p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong><br>Textile embroidery in Cañari clothing was an important symbol in the construction and&nbsp;preservation of their ideology. During the pre-Columbine period this ancestral technique was more&nbsp;than an ornament. It constituted a transcendent cultural practice with significant artistic expression&nbsp;and symbolic representation rooted in the cosmovision of their people. So much so, that during the&nbsp;Spanish colonization period it was used as a form of rebellion against the crown which resulted in the&nbsp;extension of this activity during different periods and the construction of Cañari identity.&nbsp;<br><br>Keywords​: ancestral culture, clothing, cosmovision, tradition.</p> ER -
